All best wishes to SCR! I think it is an excellent idea Look forward to
you being able to broadcast every day?

Of course, in all the fog of self-congratulation, we are sidelining one vital cog in the wheel, one pivotal member of the team who went about her work with little or no fuss calmly and so very efficiently. Jeanne, we salute you and thank you for you sterling work from the bottom of our hearts.

Now let's get on

Congratulations to all at SCR. Wish you every success!

Sounds Good, do you have a web address which goes direct to the live broadcast, without pressing a button.
If so what is it, it would be good to send to Reciva who run the Direct Internet Stations to Internet Radio Output.

This means I and others can listern via our Internet Radio without needing to switch on our computers

By Anonymous Phil Middleham mibs | January 26, 2009 at 11:55 AM

Yes, can I echo the above comment......internet radio receivers are the biggest growing area in media at the moment......but SCR might need to consider offering a normal streaming URL to internet radio listeners not just the flash player feed that your streaming company is offering. Your flash feed is not compatible with internet radios........Best regards.

By Anonymous Ben | January 27, 2009 at 1:08 AM

Hi Phil,

We do have the functionality to offer a file for internet radio and desktop players such as Winamp and Itunes with our current streaming. This will be implemented in the near future, for now you will have to use the website to listen. Stratford Community Radio is still in its early stages...

Great....I look forward to the increase in functionality......kind regrds, Phil

THAT LOCAL SHOW - Stratford Community Radio

Wow! What a great bunch of guys! I would like to say a big thanks to everyone involved with the show. Its a buzzing and vibrant show that appeals to a younger age with music and topical chats!

This was officially my first appearance on radio - all coming from the guys seeing me busking in Stratford back in October.

I spent a couple of hours with the guys on the show - playing two songs in the recording studio and then being interviewed. Phil Middleham used his expert skills to oversee the recording process, I can honestly say I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

Being able to hear the whole thing back on a podcast is also great, thanks very much guys. I look forward to doing more with you in the future and wish you the best of luck with the show.

My own track - Smile (as recorded in Stratford) has now been added to my own profile. The podcast of my slot on the show can be found by going to www.myspace.com/thatlocalshow then following the link.
